Shopping Wednesday: Cris Barros at Moda Operandi

ends August 15

One of my favorite Brazilian designers is now available at the exclusive private sales website Cris Barros jewelry was designed by my former college roommate, Diego Moller. I'm so proud of Moller's work, he was always so talented and I really love all Cris Barros collection.

"São Paulo-born, originally a model, Cris Barros was drawn to the world of fashion design and studied in Milan before moving back to Brazil to infuse some of the country's color and vibrancy in her own collection. Barros' signature simplicity with just the right touch of embellished detail makes each piece unique and distinguished.
For Spring/Summer 2012, Barros was inspired by "The Ballet Russes," a Russian ballet company that transformed dance in "moving paintings." Barros' sheer embellished tops, flowy maxi dresses and flirty rompers are the perfect apparel translation of a moving painting--her looks will turn any woman into a walking piece of art. From maxi dresses to mini skirts all topped off with her Brazilian made gold jewelry, Barros' pieces make up the essentials for any beach-bound wardrobe". M.O
