Vintage Love

Last night, I attended to the Artikfori Opening Party at Charles Street. And I had such a great time! I'm truly a Vintage Lover and since I have moved to Boston my most enjoyable activity is exploring vintage and thrift stores. Artifaktori is a pretty amazing store. I love their selection and all of the care and love (Amy and the Amandas) that they have with the clothes and accessories. It's a really special place, and you can find many treasures there. I'm so in love with these 50's dresses! and shoes... and bracelets... and purses! So... if you are in Boston, don't miss it: 121 Charles Street - Beacon Hill and 22 College Ave - Somerville

I had so much fun at the party and it was a pleasure to meet such wonderful people! I'm really enjoying Boston now, thank you ladies, I love Boston Bloggers! for more pictures

Your World... More Art

I died my hair this afternoon and I'm back to red hair, and I'm pretty happy with this color... finally a break from a rainy week, it was perfect to go up to the roof and take some pictures. I love Allston's roofs and all the urban art up there. "It's your world when you're painting" and I wish for a world with more colors and more art.

"Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" at Metropolitan Museum of Art

The exhibition, organized by The Costume Institute, celebrates the late Alexander McQueen's extraordinary contributions to fashion. From his postgraduate collection of 1992 to his final runway presentation which took place after his death in February 2010, Mr. McQueen challenged and expanded the understanding of fashion beyond utility to a conceptual expression of culture, politics, and identity. His iconic designs constitute the work of an artist whose medium of expression was fashion. Approximately one hundred examples will be on view, including signature designs such as the bumster trouser, the kimono jacket, and the Origami frock coat, as well as pieces reflecting the exaggerated silhouettes of the 1860s, 1880s, 1890s, and 1950s that he crafted into contemporary silhouettes transmitting romantic narratives. Technical ingenuity imbued his designs with an innovative sensibility that kept him at fashion's vanguard.

If you're in NYC, don't miss it!
When: May 4, 2011–July 31, 2011

There comes a time in life
when you have to let go of
all the pointless drama
& the people who create it
and surround yourself with
people who make you laugh
so hard that you forget
the bad and focus solely
on the good. After all,
lifes too short to be
anything but happy. =]
