Casual Day - Boston
Lazy Saturday morning look. Combo: skinny jeans + white T-shirt + boots. And to accent the look, nothing better that this cozy and furry leopard print jacket. Comfortable is everything!
Today, John and I took Gary to the Dog Halloween Parade at The Esplanade. And, guess what Gary's costume was?
the grunge Idol, Kurt Cobain
Happy Halloween Week! :)

Janis Joplin - Style is Forever
Fur? Flare? Tie-Dye? Velvet? Mixed Bracelets? Round Glasses? Psychedelic prints? those obvious elements of the 1970's style are totally BACK!

But back then, Janis Joplin wasn't "planning" her outfits. She never even wore make-up, or took care of her frizzed hair. She was a free spirit, committed with her music.
Janis style reflects not only a picture of a decade, but it is an expression of her genius and troubled soul.
Authenticity (unique garments), confusion (mix of patterns and accessories), innovation (looks that were ahead of her time) and comfortable (flat shoes, bare feet, pants, maxi dresses/shirts, big coats), are some of the aspects of the JJ image

Impossible to define but with no doubt, Janis Joplin was and forever will be, a true Style Icon.

My "swapped" pieces - Details
I love "Swap" ( please, take a look http://events.swap.com/ ). It's a shopaholic heaven without $ guilt.
All you need is a good eye, and to be fast. First come, first serve!
My swap score was unbelievably good this year! I found everything that I was wishing for.

Also, I got all the outfit (post) below: a bohemian print floral dress and a velvet cape (best find ever- I was dying for it).And good trendy (and vintage) items: red leather jacket, Dior wide leg, kimono jacket, and maxi tribal print dress. Upcoming pictures!
I'm ready for Fall!
