My name is Nicolle Saylor, welcome to my blog!

"From Chanel to Goodwill" is a site created to share personal style where you can see my outfit pictures, my style icon influences, shopping & finds, event pictures, fashion editorials, hair & beauty, my favorite designers collections and runways shows, lookbooks, art, do it yourself tutorials, personal & life style pictures, and everything that inspires me.

A little bit about me:

I'm 25 years old and I'm originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Before I moved to the US, I graduted from the School of Fine Arts of Sao Paulo and used to work as a Rock Concert Photographer for Brazilian newspapers and magazines.

I actually never planned to leave my job or Brazil, but a Miami Vacation changed my life. I met my soul-mate there, and left everything behind. I've been happily married with the love of my life, John Saylor, and last year we moved from Miami to Boston. That's where we adopted our puppy, Gary, and where I started to blog.

I have always loved fashion, and even when I used to photograph rockstars I always had a special interest in the outfits and fashion details. Fashion and art were always a big part of my life.

Today, I'm a housewife "wanna be", still a photographer, stylist, personal shopper, Ballroom and Latin/Brazilian dancer, amateur pool-league player, a thriftaholic and a Fashion Blogger!

Thank you so much for stopping by, please contact anytime at nicollesaylor@gmail.com and I would be super happy to hear your questions & suggestions.

Here, I would like to share a small interview that I did for a dear friend

1. You are currently a fashion blogger right now, was that always your dream? To surround yourself with fashion?
I remember when I was a kid and I used to wear my mom's clothes, high heels, and make-up and do runway shows. But I grew up too short and rebellious to be a model, so I decided to photograph them. True story! But, yes, as I said before, even when I used to work only with photography, I was always focused on fashion. And it took me a while to "recognize" this, and make fashion my profession. Happy that I did!

2. With fashion blogging, how do you stay ahead of the game with trends?
I love to travel. Look at different people and cultures. Style inspires me more than trends.

3. How would you describe your style?

4. What is one of your favorite items in your closet?
Jeffrey Campbell Platform shoes. Love my Litas and Foxies.

5. Do you have any favorite places to shop?
Thrift stores (Goodwill and Urban Renewals are my favorites) and online bargains (Ebay and online vintage stores). But I love LF, Artifaktori, Free People, Urban Outtifiters, Nasty Gals, Soles Truck, Planet Blue and, of course, once in a while Barney's, Sacks, Neimans.

6. What are some essential pieces do you believe every girl must have in a wardrobe?
Comfortable boots, big platform shoes, black leather pants, white silk/chiffon blouse, skinny or flare pants, maxi skirt, shine top, a little black dress, at least one designer purse, and a lot of accessories.

thanks to Mary Spenser for the interview questions!
